Company Statement Regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Thursday 19 March 2020
Although it is ‘Business as usual’ for us here at FCS, we just wanted to update you all to advise that we are closely monitoring the evolution of the Coronavirus situation and following the Government, NHS and World Health Organisation’s advice and guidelines. Should the situation develop further and to a position where our office must temporarily close, our staff are capable of completing their duties by working remotely at home, or elsewhere with little disruption caused to our services.
In the event that all team members are working remotely can we please ask where possible for all communication to be via email using our joint mail box: firstname.lastname@example.org or by contacting your normal FCS contact.
If you require support on the phone then please see below contact information:

Please note until advised differently I ask you to remain using our main office contact number: 0044 (0) 1278 420 355
We will be doing our best to ensure our services continue as normal with limited downtime.
We will provide regular updates with any changes in vessels or service. At present many UK car manufactures have suspended production which will prompt vessel carriers to reduce sailings on all major trade lanes.
This ultimately will cause issues with space so please ensure that you communicate in advance with us with any shipments that you have on the horizon so we can check available space etc.
RO RO IMPORTANT Information:
Please note from immediate effect:- to ensure that the correctly skilled people are in on the correct days, Southampton and Portbury terminals will require a minimum of 3 days notice of delivery for all RORO and Static cargo. Failure to provide the notice of delivery timings will result in your cargo being received with delays.
Furthermore from immediate effect:- FCS will pass all SSN’s directly to the port to enable both hauliers and terminal operatives to be able to maintain social distancing, thus to protect the workforce and limit cross contamination.
Please note as you are aware, COVID-19 guidelines and advice is changing fast and unpredictable so I could write something this hour and be telling you something different the next, but we as a company will do all we can to keep you, our valued customers and Global supply chain updated on the situation as and when possible.
We are standing by and ready to adapt to the ever changing Coronavirus situation and express to you all to stay safe and healthy during this pandemic.
Mr Lewis White
